Walking up to Cloverleaf is like walking into Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas meets Alice In Wonderland and a vintage carnival graveyard all combined into one. It is my absolute favorite Oklahoma roadside attraction slash shopping spot! It is such a fun shopping experience!
This place is smack dab in the middle of nowhere, not really but almost. It’s right off I-35 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. If you blink you’d miss it, it is a pink castle of wonderment and amazement. Every time I head south on I-35 I have to stop here to get my fix of curiosities.
From the outside when you pull up you are greeted with a plethora of weirdness and oddities. A giant ice cream cone welcomes you to shop at the Sugar Shack and the fence line is adorned with pastel spray painted bicycles.
There is a vintage pink trailer on one side and hoards of mannequins, old carnival rides, and religious statues covering every inch of the exterior.
It is an eye candy explosion of color and texture. The sheer amount of pink spray cans used to complete some of the decor is quite impressive.
When you step inside you are transported to a magical land of goodies. They really put a lot of effort into creating unique and colorful visual arrangements.
They sell everything from chic women’s clothing and boots to handcrafted jewelry to eccentric household decor and kitschy gifts galore.
It is truly a shopping experience like no other. It is a colorful museum of awesomeness in and of itself.
There are usually live animals that reside there to greet you. I’ve met a nice big parrot, a huge kitty cat, and a giant black labradoodle. They are like the welcoming committee and enhance the atmosphere with a vibrant energy.
I swear this place makes me giddy with excitement due to it’s ever-changing decor and displays. If you like art and weirdness then this place is a must see. It is bulging with artistic creativity and interesting finds.
